Donating to Cycle-CNY
Your donations are used for 2 primary purposes. First, they help to cover some of the costs of running this site. They go towards software upgrades, hosting/domain name fees, etc. Second, they are used to help purchase raffle prize(s) given away during the club trips. So in one way or another, your donations end up benefiting you, either via prize give-aways or upgrades to this site.
If I get enough donations, I'd eventually like to buy a few prizes and hold contests on this site - best photograph, most miles in a month, random drawings... that kind of thing. NOTE: From now until the Cycle-CNY Fall Fest in October, any donations received will go towards raffle prizes given away on the trip. Sponsoring Cycle-CNY
If you would like to sponsor our group, please contact me to discuss it. What we hope to do is have trusted local bike shop owners sponsor the club. That way as new members come into the group, they will have a bike shop they can trust for advice, repairs, and equipment. All we ask of our sponsors is that they refer people to our club and this web site.
How The Money Is Used
Any money generated by this site (either via membership dues or donations) will go back into the club in one way or another. I'd like to be able to print up t-shirts (or jerseys or socks or whatever everyone wants), hold some conetests/drawings through the site (which would have prizes), buy stuff to raffle off at the club rides, etc as well as upgrade the hardware and software that are used to feed this site out to all of you.

About the Club
Cycle-CNY is open to anyone who lives in or rides in central New York (to me, that's basically Rochester to Albany, Syracuse to Binghamton, or there abouts). Whatever you ride - MTB, road, BMX, unicycles, whatever - come ride with us. The club is still very new, so things are constantly evolving. The club will soon have membership in IMBA, and the benefits will trickle down to club members. We hold monthly rides, do lots of trail work, and occasionally have contests and drawings with cool prizes.

Club Rides
The first weekend of every month there is a club ride. The time and location of the ride varies month to month, but the goal is always the same: to get as many Cycle-CNYers as possible together to ride. These rides are open to paid club members only and planning for the rides happens in the members only forum.
